અમે જ્યારથી

અમે જ્યારથી નમતાં શીખ્યા,
લોકો ઝાઝું બોલતાં શીખ્યા.

દિલ પથ્થર કર્યું જ્યારથી,
પથ્થર રૂપે પૂજતાં શીખ્યા.
- અમે જ્યારથી.

નિર્દોષ મારો દેખાવ જોઈને,
નવા નવા દોષ ઘડતાં શીખ્યા.
- અમે જ્યારથી.

પૂછો કેમ ? તો કહે મજામાં,
કેટલું સહેલું છળતાં શીખ્યા.
- અમે જ્યારથી.

સત્ય બોલતાં જીભ ઝલાતી,
કેવું બેફામ બોલતાં શીખ્યા ?

'પ્રતિક' આંખે આંસુનો દરિયો,
લે લોકો પણ તરતાં શીખ્યા.

Since I have started being polite,
People have started blaming.

My heart has become a stone,
And now they worship that stone.

Watching my innocent heart,
they started to form new faults in me.

I say how are you  ? they say fine,
How easily they started cheating us.

Who couldn't utter truth at all,
How easily crying on me ?

'Pratik' there is an ocean of tears,
but now people has learnt swimming in it too.
